Located in Omaha, NE, WELCOA was founded over three decades ago as a resource for the nation's employers to turn to for building and sustaining results-oriented worksite wellness programs.
WELCOA is fortunate to have Stephen LaCagnin (Chairman) and John Shull (Vice Chairman) lead some of the best and brightest minds in business and health on our National Board of Directors.
Currently WELCOA services over 5,000 members nationwide—these members represent all types of organizations from large to small to government to Fortune 10.
WELCOA has developed the The Well Workplace Process and Seven Benchmarks—a copyrighted and trademarked process where organizations can learn to build and sustain results-oriented worksite wellness programs.
Member organizations are encouraged to participate in the Well Workplace process and when ready, apply for a Well Workplace Designation. These designations are good for three years, and to date, more than 700 corporations, healthcare systems, public agencies, and educational institutions—employing over 2.25 million people—have met this rigid worksite wellness criteria.
To date, thousands of worksite wellness practitioners and business leaders have completed certification in WELCOA's 7 Benchmarks.
WELCOA has become one of the most respected resources for workplace wellness in America. With a membership in excess of 5,000 organizations, WELCOA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all working Americans.
